What does the right of withdrawal entail for a mattress?

Statutory right of withdrawal

As a consumer, our customers have the right of withdrawal if they are a person who concludes a legal transaction for a purpose that cannot be attributed to their commercial or self-employed professional activity.

Right of withdrawal

As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days without giving any reasons. The withdrawal period is 14 days from the day on which you or a third party named by you has taken possession of the goods (mattresses, pillows, mattress toppers).

Right of cancellation and exercise

In order to exercise your right of withdrawal, you must provide us as a company: Mister Sandman GmbH, Am Grarock 8, 33154 Salzkotten, Tel. +4952589259000, E-Mail: kundenservice@mister-sandman.de with a clear statement (via postal letter, fax, or email) regarding your decision to withdraw from the contract . You can use a sample withdrawal form to apply for withdrawal of mattresses, withdrawal of pillows and/or withdrawal of mattress toppers .

Cancellation and consequences

If you have sent us this contract regarding the topics: Withdrawal mattresses, Withdrawal pillows or Withdrawal mattress toppers, we will refund you all payments we have received from you no later than 14 days from the day we received the notification of your withdrawal from this contract. For this refund, we will use the same payment method that you used as a consumer for the original transaction, unless a different agreement has been expressly made. Mister Sandman may refuse the refund until we have received the goods (mattresses, mattress toppers, pillows) back or you have provided a clear proof of the return of goods.

Return of goods

You must return or hand over the goods to us (Mister Sandman GmbH, Am Grarock 8, 33154 Salzkotten) immediately and in any case no later than fourteen days from the day you inform us of the cancellation of this contract. The deadline is met if you send the goods before the fourteen-day period has expired. 

Voluntary return policy up to 30 days after receipt of goods

• In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, we grant you a voluntary return policy of a total of 30 days (30 days trial sleep) from the receipt of the goods. This return policy allows you, after the expiration of a 14-day withdrawal period, to withdraw from the purchase contract by informing us via a clear declaration (in writing via post letter, fax, or email) within 30 days after receiving the goods (the period begins upon receipt of the goods). We will cover the costs for the return shipment and refund you the full purchase amount if:
• A verifiable defect was present upon delivery

Refund and return policy

We (Mister Sandman) will refund the payment to the customer account you specified when you exercise the voluntary return policy. If payment was made "by bank transfer", the refund will be processed in this way. If you paid with PayPal or by credit card, you will receive the refund to your PayPal or credit card account.

Important information regarding the right of withdrawal and return policy

The statutory right of withdrawal is not affected by the voluntary return policy, so it remains independent. Until the expiration of the period for the statutory right of withdrawal, only the statutory conditions listed there apply. The contractually granted voluntary return policy does not limit the statutory warranty rights, which remain fully intact for the customer.
