How does the return of a mattress work?

Our mattresses meet the highest quality standard and are made from high-quality and comfortable materials that will ideally enhance your sleep in terms of comfort and regeneration. So that you can test your mattress at home in a relaxed manner, we offer our 30-day trial sleep service. If you are not convinced after 30 days, you can return your item to us without giving any reasons. The return is at your expense, and you will receive a full refund of the purchase price minus the return costs.

Test a mattress or rather sleep test a mattress? - What is better?

In a normal specialty store, you can only test the selected mattress for a very short time. A thorough and relaxed test sleep is not offered on-site. This is of course unfavorable, as you cannot assess after 5-10 minutes whether the mattress is really the right one for you. Testing a mattress is nice and good, but not sufficient if you want to decide on a new mattress.

The clear disadvantage of testing: Usually, the plastic is still stretched around the mattress, so you cannot create a home bedroom atmosphere and individual lying feeling. Therefore, it is better to test sleep and try it in a familiar environment. With your own slatted frame and home pillows and blankets. Avoid a wrong purchase and choose a cold foam mattress, gel mattress or latex-visco mattress that fits your bed and slatted frame and on which you can test sleep in peace.

Mattress return in the specialty store

Returning the mattress in a specialty store can sometimes be difficult, as the effort is significantly higher than if you have a straightforward return policy like at Mister Sandman. Our mattress return policy is simple and straightforward.

The mattress return is very easy for the consumer and customer in our shop. Within the first 30 days, you can return the mattress without giving any reasons. In our terms and conditions, you will find all further information about the warranty at Mister Sandman. For the pickup of the mattress, you can set your individual desired date. The time frame is between Monday and Friday from 9 AM to 6 PM. Please pack the mattress (in the original packaging) or an alternative packaging for this. The pickup is chargeable.

Warranty and liability

For all goods from Mister Sandman, the statutory warranty rights apply. For items where we explicitly refer to a warranty in the product description, we grant an additional warranty in accordance with the applicable warranty conditions (see No. 10 in GTC - Warranty). The so-called statutory warranty obligations remain unaffected by the warranty of the items. In the case of exchanges within the framework of goodwill, shipping costs and packaging costs will not be refunded.

Free delivery directly to your home

As soon as you have purchased the mattress by order from us, you will subsequently receive a tracking number in the shipping confirmation via email. Once our manufacturer has received the order, he will deliver your brand new mattress to you free of charge via a parcel service.

Easy unpacking of your mattress

The mattress comes directly and free to your home with our free shipping delivery. At home, you remove the film from the mattress and can place it directly on your bed. Give it about half an hour to 30 minutes until it has fully unrolled (our mattresses are rolled by the manufacturer to save space, so that costs are saved and good for the environment can be done). Afterwards, cover it with suitable bedding and then sleep on it as usual.

30 days mattress trial sleep

The 30-day trial sleep period begins as soon as you have received the mattress. Now you can calmly start the trial sleep phase on your bed and slatted frame (our mattress is also suitable for box spring beds). Make the most of the 3-4 weeks so that your muscles and body can get used to the new lying feeling.

What happens next? Once the 30-day trial sleep period is over, you have the option to keep the mattress or return it to us if you are not satisfied. If you decide to return it, we will gladly provide you with a paid return label. The following steps explain how to successfully ship and return the mattress:

Contact Us: Simply reach out to us via email at kundenservice@mister-sandman.de within the 30-day trial period. Once we receive your return request, we will inform the shipping service provider (see point 2).
Pack Sleep Items: Please pack the item adequately for shipping. If you want to return a mattress, use the original packaging or an alternative packaging.
Cost Refund: After the goods arrive at our manufacturer and the item is checked, we will refund you the full purchase price (minus return shipping costs). Depending on the payment method you used (Invoice, Paypal, Credit Card, etc.), we will refund the money back to you in the same way.

If you are not satisfied with the sleeping experience on our mattress after the mattress purchase , you can easily return the mattress at your own cost. To ensure smooth shipping, simply contact us via email at kundenservice@mister-sandman.de within the 30-day trial period. After that, please pack the item adequately.

Voluntary Return Policy Mattress

Voluntary Return Policy for a Mattress Return means that an item, namely a mattress from Mister Sandman, can be returned within 30 days of purchase if it does not meet your expectations. This allows you to make use of the return policy.

Voluntary right of return for mattresses at Mister Sandman

In addition to the statutory right of withdrawal, Mister Sandman grants a voluntary right of return of 30 days from the receipt of the goods. When the mattress has arrived at your home and has been marked by you as 'received', the 30-day trial sleep begins. With this voluntary right of return for mattresses, the customer/consumer can withdraw from the contract after the 14-day withdrawal period has expired.

Even after the 14-day withdrawal period has expired, the consumer/customer can make use of the voluntary right of return by means of a clear declaration (by post, fax, or email). After shipping and receipt of the goods back at the manufacturer, the refund will be made after checking the items (mattress product) under the exercise of the voluntary right of return to the account specified by the customer/consumer for payment. If payment is made by bank transfer, the refund will be instructed to the account from which the transfer was made. If the consumer/customer paid via Paypal or credit card, the refund will be made to the associated Paypal or credit card account.
